Lighthouse (cert. 15)

synopsis

A group of pensioners are transported by ship to a remote island prison. During a fierce storm the ship runs aground and sinks, whereupon the bedraggled bunch of survivors struggle ashore to an apparently deserted lighthouse. When they discover the decapitated corpses of the lighthouse keepers, they realise, with mounting horror, that something terrifying is at large and hunting them. One by one the death toll mounts as the terrified party desperately attempts to stay alive until daybreak. Lighthouse is a dark, claustrophobic horror, combining thrills and genuine chills with a unique, creepy location.
